Valldemossa has been one of the main centers of display and maintenance of popular Mallorcan dances and music, thanks to the activities of El Parado de Valldemossa, a local group that popularized Mallorcan dance, taking it away from the atmosphere of agricultural, religious or family festivals, and making it known to the public at large.
The Cultural Foundation Coll Bardolet features performances from July to October with three day passes. These dances have attracted celebrities and travelers to the island, and also artists who have interpreted its colors and movements, as Josep Coll Bardolet, whose work has helped to spread the images of these dancers worldwide.
