Josep Maria Pou directs the stage adaptation of the play Taking Sides by South African Ronald Harwood, who won an Oscar for the screenplay of the film The Pianist by Roman Polanski.
The action takes place in Berlin in 1946, a city destroyed during World War II and where the preliminary investigations are occur of the trial that will conduct the Anti-Nazi Commission for artists. Major Steve Arnold, insurance inspector in civilian life, was commissioned to investigate the implications of the conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler in Nazi Germany from 1933-1945.
