It is the only lyrical recital scheduled at the 53 Festival de Pollença, by one of the most acclaimed Spanish sopranos of recent times. Ainhoa Arteta debuted in 1990 at the Palm Beach Opera (Florida, USA) as Corinda in La Cenerentola by Rossini, and has since performed many concerts all over the world, including the White House with Bill Clinton in power and during the official visit of the President of Colombia.
The soprano from Guipuzcuana has also received several awards, including the Prize of the Hispanic Society of America for her contribution to the arts and in the most recent Premios Líricos Teatro Campoamor 2014.
Accompanied by pianist Rubén Fernández-Aguirre, in the Cloister of Sant Domingo de Pollença she will perform works by Robert Schumann, Richard Strauss, Isaaz Albéniz, Enrique Granados and Manuel de Falla.
