After two years without activities, Can Monroig presents Refugio, the latest artistic project by Marie-Noëller Ginard Ferón within the field of collective creation. Its inauguration, on December 17, will be accompanied by live music by Liquid Mantie, a group from Berlin that has donated their music for the videos that are part of the exhibition.
Refugio part of a textile installation in the countryside, around which Marie-Noëller carried out a photographic performance last April together with photographers Gabriel Ramon, Miquel Juliá Silvestre and Robert López Hinton.
In this installation the artist reflects on the need to find a refuge, not only as a physical space to protect oneself, but also a place, real or imaginary, where one can safeguard one's own identity from others, protect oneself from grievances and seek a path without impositions or external pressures.
The result of the joint work are photographs, videos and the textile installation that can be seen in Can Monroig until February. The schedule will be updated weekly through the Can Monroig cultura Instagram account.
