'Requiem' by Fauré

The Orfeó Balear and the Orquestra Camerata Balear offer this concert in the Basilica of Sant Francesc in Palma. Under the direction of maestro Daniel Mulet, baritone Gabriel Mas,  soprano Rosa Bonet and  organist Bartomeu Manresa perform as soloists.

In the first part of the concert the Orquestra Camerata Balear will perform Joseph Haydn's Symphony 101, as well as other works by Fauré for choir and orchestra.

In the second part, Fauré's Requiem complete for choir, soprano soloist, bass soloist and organ. The Requiem in D minor Op 48 by Gabriel Fauré is one of the most popular requiem masses. Written between 1886 and 1888, it consists of seven parts and is usually performed by choir and orchestra.
