'Retorno a Hansala'

One of the activities around the exhibition La Mer au milieu des Terres // Mare Medi Terraneum, which can be seen in Es Baluard until August 30, is the projection of this 2008 Spanish film directed by Chus Gutierrez and starring Farah Hamed Jose Luis Garcia Perez and Adam Bounnouacha.

In Retorno a Hansala  (Return to Hansala), Gutierrez analyzes the phenomenon of immigration from the appearance on the beaches of Rota of the bodies of eleven young Moroccan who crossed the Strait of Gibraltar. The film won the Special Jury Prize at the Valladolid Film Festival and was nominated for three Goya awards.

Its projection in Es Baluard is in collaboration with MDM of the Balearic Islands.
