On May 27, 1866, Santa Maria del Cami inaugurated its annual Fira and five years later, in 1871, the last Sunday in April was established as a stable date for its conclusion. Since then, Sa Fira has been held, an event that started as showing traditional agricultural and livestock and has grown to become a sample of culture, tradition and local industry.
The events last more than three weeks and officially they begin on Saturday April 20 with the Book Day. On Friday the 26th is celebrated the evening of frito (fried) and on Sunday 28 is the big day, Sa Fira, with numerous samples of industrial, commercial and atsisanal character.
On Monday 29 the Firó will be held, with activities for children, Fireta del juego, sampling and tasting of sweet and savory cakes and fireworks. The last event of the Fira takes place on May 11.
