Saxophobia Funk Project

This formation was created in the summer of 2011, under the name Saxophobia Quartet but after several live concerts this saxophone quartet decided to incorporate other instruments to experience new horizons: electric guitar, drums and bass. Thus was born the Saxophobia Funk Project.

They are: Cristian Sorrentino (soprano sax), Miquel A. Rigo (alto), Alberto Moreno (tenor sax), Jose Valle (baritone sax), Miquel Marquet (drums), Juan Monserrat (electric guitar) and Luis Bayon (low).

Their style is a kind of jazz heavily influenced by funk, with covers of classics like Duke Elligton or Maceo Parker, among others.
