Started in 1306 by King James II, Sineu market is one of the oldest in Majorcan. For centuries it was the principal trading market for the farmers of the island. Today is a great tourist attraction point.
It is traditional among natives and foreigners take a plate of typical frito Mallorquín at any of the cellars in the village after visiting the market. Sale of fruit and vegetables, plants, flowers, clothing and footwear, held on Wednesdays from 8:00 to 14:00 pm in plaza de Fossar and surroundings.
