August 15 is the prelude to the festivities in honour of St. Bartholomew (Sant Bartomeu). At this time, the cossiers (dancers) take to the streets to perform their traditional dances. The dance group from Montuïri is the only one in Mallorca that has remained uninterrupted throughout history.
