The encountered art of Pamela León

The work of Pamela Leon Rojas (Antofagasta, Chile, 1971) is full of found objects loaded with poetry, always wrapped in earthy ochers that refer us to her homeland deserts. The artist acknowledges the influence of Antoni Tapies, Marcel Duchamp, Arte Povera, Dadaism or anything that has to do with chance.

She calls herself collector of objects, with which she establishes a very intimate connection until she converts them into works of art, which are only completed with the spectator’s view. The artist is able to make us look at objects that have long ceased to make sense and yet still have a lot to say.
