In recent years, the Jazz Voyeur Festival reserves the month of December for gospel and black spiritual music. In this ninth edition The Friendly Travelers are responsible for putting the note, founded in 1959 in New Orleans by the Rev. Clint Jones and one of the most prestigious international formations within gospel music.
Although their style is a fusion of gospel, R & B and jazz, they boast great versatility and include in their repertoire traditional gospel standards and original compositions, as well as singing a capella, with an instrumental section and even accompanying great symphony orchestras.
