This exhibition presents a selection of travelers, writers, scientists and artists related to Mallorca in the first half of the twentieth century. Through their works, the island became renowned as a favorable environment for inspiration and creation, for the active intellectual retreat.
In The Muse and the sea. Travelers, artists and Anglophone writers in Mallorca (1900-1965), the collected characters were not tourist predators, but visitors enriching the international image of an island where the muse and the sea welcome you. The exhibition consists of first editions of books, paintings, engravings, photographs and explanatory texts.
