The Nutcracker is a fairy tale-ballet in two acts and three scenes of Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893), who put music to the adaptation that Alexander Dumas (the father) did the story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , Ernest Hoffmann.
The show that is now presented within the XXVIII Season of Opera and Ballet is a production of the Teatre Principal de Palma, with direction and choreography by Laura Macias and Gavin de Paor. They act as guest stars Daniil Simkin of the American Ballet Theater, and Ryoko Yagyu, the National Ballet of Ireland.
