Recently formed Mallorcan Group enthusiast of bluegrass, a traditional U.S. style that mixes elements of Irish music with blues and a touch of gospel.
The six components of the formation come from both the field of classical and modern music, and have extensive experience in teaching. Their influences are diverse: from the classics Doc Watson, Lester Flatt and Bill Monroe to the latest figures in this style, such as Chris Thile, Sarah Jarosz, Alison Krauss, Tim O'Brien and Bryan Sutton, passing through the typical Irish reels.
Beatriz Calderón (vocals and mandolin), Guillermo Femenías (acoustic guitar and vocals), Ángel Matesanz (banjo, mandolin and harmonica), Henry Shepherd (violin), Marta Ambròs (mandolin and vocals) and Paul Di Salvo (bass) integrate the Pilgrims.
