This project is the transition of the artistic universe of Ricard Chiang (Barcelona, ??1966) to resin sculpture and installation. It is also the confirmation of one of the keys to his work: the indissoluble union of art and nature. In this case, influenced by the Mallorcan countryside where the artist of Chinese descent lives since several years.
The tree and the shade is part of an ambitious international promotion with stops in the Chinese Cultural Center in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Stiftung für Kunst und Kultur, Villa Friede in Bonn, at Casa Asia in Barcelona,at the Instituto Cervantes in Beijing and now in Casal Solleric of Palma.
