Tomeu Penya

The singer-songwriter born in Villafranca is a classical of the Mallorcan verbenas in the summer. His latest album is titled És per tu (Blau, 2012), fifteen songs with a wide variety of themes and sounds, in which his traditional country style will not fail.

Tomeu Penya (Vilafranca de Bonany, 1949) began his career in 1980 with the publication of Tomeu Penya canta a la vila. This first album has been followed by twenty more to the present, a work that can be defined as a collection of all the styles that he has played throughout his career, from hotel music to rock & roll.

 In the title track of the album, És per tu, he has had the collaboration of Victoria Maldi. It also includes an instrumental song dedicated to guitarist Paco de Lucia.
