'Tosca'

This opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini, libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica was premiered with great success in Rome in January 1900. The text of the play is based on Tosca, a drama written by Frenchman Victorien Sardou set in Rome occupied by Napoleon's troops.

This production of Opera Company Grand National Theatre of Varna is headed by Borislav Ivanov and participating choirs and soloists Dimitrinka Raycheva (Tosca), Ivaylo Mihaylov (Mario Cavaradossi), Plamen Dimitrov (Baron Scarpia), Eugeniy Stanimirov (Cesure Angelotti), Stoyan Findzikov (Spoletta), Rosen Rangelov (Sciarrone), Petur Petrov (A Jailer) and Blagovesta Stateva (A shepherd).
