This exhibition, entitled Transformation in Red, shows the earlier work of Astrid Colomar (Palma, 1970) exposed in Es Baluard. The color red that characterized that intervention is the main theme of this new series in which she reprises the concept of motherhood connected to the creative force and the transmission of life in its various forms and expressions.
This color is present in all the pieces acting as a unifying element and carrier of life force that transforms everything. In these new works is passed the intimate setting of the mother-child relation, and from it she delves into the idea of transformation of matter and the identification between carnality and thought or consciousness.
