This New Zealand string trio consists of Cathy Irons (violin), Sharon Baylis (viola) and Tomas Hurnlk (cello), all members of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. In this concert of the International Festival of Music of Deià they are accompanied on the piano by Alfredo Oyágüez Montero.
They offer a program composed by Trio Sonata N. 1, Op. 16, by Carl Friedrich Abel; String Trio N. 2, Op. 8, by Johann Andreas Amon; String Trio N. 1, Op. 9A, by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger; Piano Quartet N. 1 in G Minor, K. 478, by W. A. Mozart; Polar, by José María Núñez Rosselló; Melancholy, by Anthony Ritchie Easter; And String Trio Op 10, by Ernst Dohnanyi.
Deià International Music Festival, with artistic direction by Alfredo Oyágüez Montero (Madrid, 1967), is celebrated from May 4 to October 5 with concerts in la Sala de Música de la Casa Museu de Son Marroig, one of the Old properties of the Archduke Luis Salvador in the Serra de Tramuntana.
