The XI Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino 2018 begins with the Odyssea Trio, formed in Mallorca by three great musicians: Nina Heidenreich (violin), Miriam Picker-Bleuse (piano) and Emmanuel Bleuse (cello). They offer a program with works by Haydn, Brahms and Rachmaninov.
The German violinist Nina Heidenreich has been, until last season, soloist of the second violin section of the Madrid Symphony Orchestra at the Teatro Real. Previously she was with the Qatar Philharmonic and concertmaster of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon, in addition to collaborating regularly with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra between 2006 and 2007. Nina Heidenreich plays with a Genaro Galianus violin, built in Naples in 1779.
For their part, French cellist Emmanuel Bleuse and pianist Miriam Picker, married and parents of six children, met in 1999 at the Indiana University of Bloomington (United States) and reside in Mallorca since 2004. Emmanuel Bleuse is solo cellist of the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears and professor of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, and is the winner of several prizes such as the Prix de l'Académie de Ravel (1997) and the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale (2000).
Miriam Picker has also won several awards, such as the Vulaines / Seines Contest in Paris, and acts as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe.
The Festival Internacional de Música Clàssica Pianino is organized by the Cell of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand in the Cartuja de Valldemossa. It is the Cell No. 4 of the monastery, which was rented by the famous couple and where Chopin received his piano Pleyel in 1838.
