An exhibition with paintings false true

The Asia Series is the title of this original showcase by Girbent, in which he proposes a false exhibition with actual paintings. The works come from images of the film Still Life, by Jia Zhang Ke, and the set is configured as a transcript of the exhibition of Bob Dylan, which could be seen at the Gagosian Gallery in New York in 2011.

Pep Girbent (Soller, 1966) is an artist that questions such issues as the meaning of painting in the Internet age, originality and falseness in art, the role of the media or the many mystifications associated to art criticism.
