Víctor Uris, a tribute

For his long career, for his connection and participation in the Mallorca Jazz sa Pobla Festival and for his contribution to the Blues music genre, the Palma harmonist Víctor Uris (1958-2024), is awarded the Mallorca Jazz sa Pobla 2024 Festival Award The documentary Víctor Uris, els camins del blues, by Javier Pueyo, will be screened.

Self-taught, he entered the world of music at the end of 1982 following the birth of the Harmonica Coixa Blues Band, which is the result of the union of three Mallorcan musicians: Pep Banyo, Toni Reynés and Víctor Uris. In 1988 they recorded their first LP, Harmònica Coixa Blues Band, with the collaboration of
Erroll Woiski, Joan Bibiloni and Deborah Carter among others.
