On September 16, 1973, Chilean singer-songwriter and activist Víctor Jara was assassinated by the military dictatorship after the coup d'état that overthrew the government of Salvador Allende five days earlier.
On the occasion of the 44th anniversary of these events, the group Vientos de Poniente presents this proposal in which different disciplines are involved: music, image and dance.
The work is based on 16 original songs by Víctor Jara, one of the most emblematic artists of the Nueva Canción Chilena movement, adapted to the female voices of Vientos de Poniente.
