Vuelta y Vuelta, latest projects

The contemporary dance company Vuelta y Vuelta presents its last two productions: Boleros, nostalgia y algún que Otro café ( Boleros,nostalgia and the odd coffee) and Para captar abrazos (to grasp hugs), both choreographed by Doryan Suarez.

Vuelta y Vuelta was formed in 2008 in Menorca result of the meeting of six dancers from different origins (Cuba, Argentina, Barcelona and Menorca), but with the same way of understanding art and its aesthetics. In charge of the direction is Alejandro Porto, with Marcela Hoffman. Victoria Janer, Ana Royo, Joan Taltavull and Doryan Suarez as interpreters

They develop the formula of dance - theater, incorporating contemporary dance theater methods to approach reality. Thus, in Boleros, nostalgia y algún que Otro café (Boleros, nostalgia and the occasional coffee) they show the subtle wrinkles of the soul using a bed, a bench and the projection of a house inhabited of moments, which is the common thread of the story. With this show they obtained five nominations at the Escenica awards 2011.

Para captar abrazos (To capture hugs), released in October 2012 at the Teatre Principal of Mao, was born of the vital need to be a lover, to complicate encounters.
