2015 will mark the the centenary of the birth of Pere Quetglas, the Mallorcan artist known as Xam who excelled in his facets of cartoonist, caricaturist, engraver and painter. This exhibition gives us the chance to discover the Xam creator and collector of bookplates, these decorative flags that are placed on the back cover of the book as a trademark of its owner.
The exhibition is curated by Alejandro Ysasi, grandson of the artist and PhD in Art History, and brings together a set of 270 pieces from different collections. It shows drawings ,xylographs and inter alia, the bookplate production of the artist formed by forty-six copies.

May 16: Conference: Els ex-libris of Pere Quetglas, Xam, by Alejandro Ysasi. 12:00.
May 30: Lecture: La meva col·lecció d’ex-libris, by Manuel Ripoll. 12:00.
