Oil production is one of the most deeply rooted activities in Caimari, a beautiful village situated at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. This exhibition pays tribute to the tradition with an extensive range of products related to the olive. One of the attractions is the construction of a coal miners ranch in the Plaza Major by the Associació Comuna de Caimari, composed of old coal miners.
Although the program begins on November 8, the actual market days are Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, with an extensive range of tasting and selling of all kinds of products such as olives, almonds, carob, oils, ales or nougat, among others. There will also be exhibitions of falconry birds, canaries, tractors, cars and old motorcycles.
The old church and Ca ses Monges will be the scene of several exhibitions: a sample of portraits by Ramon Egoscozábal Mayor, another of photography by James Clapp, the painting exhibition of ancient olive trees by Miquel Trias Horrach and watercolors and drawings by Joan Darder Muñoz.
