The monographic theme of this new edition are the four elements, Air, water, earth and fire, which will be the common thread of the fair and the main subject of the educational workshops that are held. A unique opportunity to acquire all kinds of pieces of pottery, from kitchen utensils to decorative items, toys or art pieces made by potters of Mallorca and a dozen that have come from the mainland and abroad.
The Fira del Fang de Marratxí, which won the National Ceramics Prize 2013 awarded by the Spanish Association of Ceramics Towns, will be held in la Verónica de Sant Marcal in Sa Cabaneta, where two tents will be installed. The largest hosts the exhibition area, the projection room, assemblies of the winners of the Benet Mas Award and a space for performances, conferences and institutional events.
The second tent is intended for educational pottery workshops scheduled during the fair, such as workshops of clay, Raku or Trencadís amulets. Besides the tents there will be 47 retail stands.
The program is completed with other activities such exhibitions of Mallorcan dancing, concerts and Fang Tapa, a tapas route initiative of restaurant owners in the área. During the days of the fair visit the Museu del Fang can also be visited at the same time of the fair.
