Zone 1 of Casal Solleric presents an explosion of color with the pictorial journey (Pintures 2006-2011) of the young Catalan artist Yago Hortal (Barcelona, 1983) based in Berlin. An abstract painting exhibition characterized by the expansion of colour, strength of brushstrokes and the minuteness of detail and spontaneity. His paintings are reminiscent of “dripping”, a painting technique characteristic of Action Painting whose main representative was the American painter Jackson Pollock in the 40’s.
