Cellobration Cycle: Folkwang Concert Series, within the XXXV International Music Festival of Deia, brings together two young musicians who have passed, or have been awarded by the prestigious University of the Arts Folkwang (Germany).
On the one hand the young French cellist Yan Vaigot, Folkwang-Competition winner 2006 and the Folkwang Preis 2011. He is member of the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now and since 2012, also of the chamber music formation Lafroyg.
Meanwhile, the Polish pianist Katarzyna Wieczorek has developed a brilliant career, and since 2011has been a member of the International Music Rhapsody in School Organization, founded by Lars Vogt.
