Plastic creator, filmmaker, playwright, choreographer .... Jan Fabre (Antwerp, 1958) is a Renaissance man in the XXI century. His work will ocupy this summer the magnificent space La Lonja of Palma, a Gothic jewel which opens to contemporary art.
Jan Fabre is one of the cult artists of the current international scene. In fact,he is the only living artist who has exhibited individually at the Louvre and will have the same honor at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, where he is preparing an exhibition for September 2016.
Zeno Brains and Oracle Stones is a project that started in the Venice Biennale in 2011 inspired by Michelangelo's Pietà. It consists of works produced between 2008 and 2014 in different formats.
Some large works as Atlas on the Roof of the World or The Naked Metamorphosis, made of Carrara marble. In the smaller works he incorporates materials such as silicone, paint or metal.
