
'Art Jove' Awards
Organized by the Balearic Center of Information and Documentation for the Youth (CBIDJ) and aimed at young people between 16 and 35 living in the Balearics. Establishes six categories: Photography, Visual Arts, Architecture, Young Interpreters, Audiovisual and Fashion Design. Include prize money.

'Born' Theatre Prize
The most important theater award convened in Spain, both in prestige and in funding. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and since its inception in 1975, has been convened by Cercle Artístic, a cultural society founded in Ciutadella (Menorca) in 1881. Manuscripts may be submitted in Castilian and Catalan, admitting collaborative works. Besides the money prize, it involves the edition of the work in the four official languages of the Spanish state.

'City of Manacor' Visual Arts Prize
The City Council of Manacor convenes, since 1993, this award with a free choice of theme and technique. The winning work of art contains a cash prize and, will be shown, together with other selected art works in an exhibition at the Museu d'Història de Manacor-Torre dels Enegistes in the Fires i Festes de Primavera.

'Formentor' Award of Literature
This is one of the most prestigious and experienced literary awards. In 2011 it celebrated its 50th anniversary, when the award was given to the Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes (1928-2012). Among the award-winning writers during all these years appear literates like Jorge Luis Borges, Jorge Semprún or Samuel Beckett. At present, Hotel Formentor, the scenery of these awards, is part of Grupo Barceló.

'Pilar Juncosa and Sotheby's' Awards and Grants
They are convened by the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Mallorca and aim to promote and disseminate the creative contemporary values and research work on the life and work of Joan Miró. In 2012, they were restructured with lower premiums and increased scholarships.
Established is the biennial Pilar Juncosa & Sotheby's Award with a cash prize for an art project done in the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró. And several scholarship announcements: two with residence in the same foundation and in another art institution, two of training, experimentation and creation in the graphic workshops of Miró, and, the last, formation of one of the winners of the Graphic Arts Contest for Young Artists.

'Sant Antoni' Photography Award
The Associació Cultural Amics de Sant Antoni (Cultural Association Friends of San Antonio) and the City Council of Manacor organize this photography contest which has among its objectives to promote the festival in honor of the saint and the recognition of its traditional elements. The awarded picture is used for the poster of the festival of Sant Antoni de Manacor, held in January.
Andratx Awards
Organized by the municipality of Andratx and aim to promote the plastic and literature arts within the municipality. It summons three prizes of art: Painting Prize Josep Ventosa, a Special Award for Local Artists and the Painting and Photography Prize Rafael Ferrer. Also two literary awards: the Award for Short Story Baltasar Porcel and the Pere Ferrer Research Award. The awards ceremony is held during the festivities of Andratx (June 29).

Art Jove
The Pollença City Council convenes this event to promote the work of those new artists who have not had the opportunity to show their work in public. Participants must have been born in the Mancomunidad Nord de Mallorca (Pollença, Sa Pobla, Muro, Santa Margalida, Alcúdia and Artà), or have been a resident for two years in one of these municipalities. Without monetary award, the prize consists of exhibiting at the Museum of Pollença and on a mobile basis in the space offered by the City Councils of different localities in Mallorca.

Awards 'Ciutat de Palma'
These awards have been convened by the city of Palma since 1958, although initially only dedicated to literature in the Catalan language. Currently five modalities are established: 'Llorenç Villalonga' Novel Award (in catalan), 'Joan Alcover' Prize for Poetry (in catalan), 'Antoni Gelabert' Award for Visual Arts, Comics Award (in Catalan and Castilian) and Short Film Award (in all languages).
The gala awards ceremony is celebrated on the day of San Sebastian (January 20), patron of the city.
