It is one of the most represented musicals worldwide and of which have been made the most productions since its premiere in Houston in 1993, reaching 40. It is based on the eponymous 1991 Disney film, in turn an adaptation of the Fairytale of XVIII century French author Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. The music is by Alan Menken and the script by Linda Woolverton.
This version is now presented in the Auditorium of Palma entitledLa Bella y la Bestia, un cuento cantado (Beauty and the Beast, a sung tale) and in it will be given special importance to the secondary characters in the play, with the aim of achieving a funnier story.
