This ballet in two acts and three scenes of Russian composer Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) is based on the adaptation that Alexander Dumas (the father) did the story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , Ernest Hoffmann. The scenery is the work of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.
The Season III Ballet Teatre Principal de Palma presents this production directed by Laura Macias and Gavin de Paor, with the participation of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands, under the direction of Christopher Soler.
They act as solo dancers Yolanda Correa and Yoel Carreño, prominent members of the National Ballet of Norway.
