El Centro Dramático Nacional produces this work written and directed by Carolina Africa, one of the most prominent voices on the national scene. The stories that take place in El cuaderno de Pitágoras (The Notebook of Pitágoras), despite being fiction, are inspired by real events and are the result of the experience lived in years of volunteering in a penitentiary module.
A group of inmates participates in the elaboration of a theatrical work that will culminate with the final exhibition of the show in front of their relatives. The recording of the rehearsal process in a kind of logbook -erroneously called the Pythagorean Notebook- will give this story its title, which will be interspersed with others: the struggle to rebuild a dignified life in freedom and the effort to move families in complex and painful circumstances.
From a fragmented, intimate, unprejudiced and at times very funny look, the viewer will access various plots inside and outside the walls of a prison.
El cuaderno de Pitágoras is performed by Manolo Caro, Emmanuel Cea, Gledys Ibarra, Helena Lanza, Ascen López, Jorge Mayor, Nuria Mencía and Victoria Teijeiro. Language: Spanish.
