Irene i la terra adormida is a cantata composed by musician Francesc Vicens and written by Lucia Pietrelli. Arises from the proposal of the musicologist and composer Francesc Vicens to create a work based on the Tradicionari de Mallorca project, of Fundació Mallorca Literaria.
The cantata is composed of 7 themes that address and develop the theme of life / death rituals with sounds of very diverse origin.
Directed by Joan Fullana, the actors Mercè Sancho de la Jordana, Maria Rosselló Montserrat and Hèctor Seoane, the Youth Choir of Joventuts Musicals de Palma directed by Santi Francia and the musicians Francesc Vicens, Esteban Belichón, Clàudia Sànchez and Pere Dàvila.
