Irene i la terra adormida is a cantata composed by musician Francesc Vicens and written by Lucia Pietrelli. Arises from the proposal of the musicologist and composer Francesc Vicens to create a work based on the Tradicionari de Mallorca project, of Fundació Mallorca Literaria.
La cantata is composed of 7 themes that address and develop the theme of life / death rituals with sounds of very diverse origin.
The Coral Juvenil de Joventuts Musicals de Palma, directed by Santi Francia, Maria Danús and Francesc Vicens (piano), Pere Dàvila (guitar, busuqui, guitarrón and percussion), Miquel Àngel Torrens, Bàrbara Nicolau and Mariantònia Salas (interpretation).
