The Setmana de la Cultura Popular i Traditional 2021 proposes this concert to dance ball folk with the group Madame Gató. Their current line-up is from 2020 and, despite the pandemic, they have managed to win second prize in the Robert Pellicer Contest for Emerging Groups at the Folkestoltes festival in Gerona.
It is made up of Fran Reig (whistle, uilleann pipe), Manel Mayol (transverse flute, recorder, baroque flute, bendir, vocals), Biel Jordà (guitar, viola de rueda, busuqui, tambourine, vocals) and Imma Artigues (guitar, diatonic accordion, cajon, vocals).
As this concert is for dancing, there are two types of tickets: one with the right to a chair and to dance, and another without the right to a chair.
Two hours before the concert, a free Ball folk Workshop taught by Folk a Mar is also held at the Teatre Mar i Terra.
