'Mare de sucre'

Clàudia Cedó is the author and director of this play that tells the story of a girl with an intellectual disability who wants to be a mother and has to face the incomprehension of her community. That desire of hers will lead her to an unprecedented fight for her rights.

Mare de Sucre reflects on the treatment we are giving as a society to people with functional diversity. Best Director Award for Clàudia Cedó at the Barcelona Teatre Awards (2021) and Best New Actress Award for Andrea Álvarez at the Critics Awards (2021).
