Since over thirty years Scarlet Circus explores art without brakes in search of freedom, resulting in a universe of its own where performance, poetry, visual and object theater, the circus are mixed ... In Quan els crancs portin talons (When crabs wear heels), the artistic and vital couple Bet Miralta and Jordi Aspa mimic metaphorically with dreamy crabs, relatives of other species of animals such as When cows fly or When chickens have teeth.
Under the direction of Laura Tajada, the conductors of this "circus performative action" (as described by the company) tell us a story based on real events about a couple who began to perform circus thinking they could find their freedom and change the world. An exercise to decompose their circus trajectory as if it were crabs, revisiting their past and proposing an open and hopeful future vision.
Co-production of Mercat de les Flors, Théâtre de l'Agora Scène Nationale d’Évry et de l’Essonne (França) and Scène Nationale du Sud-Aquitain, Bayonne (France). Recommended show from 8 years.
