Tortell Poltrona, ‘Post-Clàssic’

This popular Catalan clown is considered one of the great innovators in the world of clowns today. His real name is Jaume Mateu i Bullich (Barcelona, 1955) and with nineteen years old he already debuted as a comic singer of the Gran Orchestra Veracruz.

He was founder and director of Circ Circ and promoter of the society Pallassos Sense Fronteres (Clowns Without Borders), participating in expeditions to the refugee camps and impoverished areas of several countries. All of this has made him earn twenty national and international awards.

Now he presents Post-Classic, a fast-paced show that unites the best numbers of the Poltrona Tortell repertoire. It contains the essence of the  old fashioned clown and the challenge of new innovative proposals, reaching the absurd to rediscover the north and looking into the classics for a starting point to navigate in that direction.
